Feeling in a chocolatey mood? Why not add raw cacao to make a nutritious cocktail, satisfying, rich in flavour and full of flavanoids, antioxidants and iron. Yes, cacao contains a good dose of iron, so a great reason to have a chocolate cocktail if your intake is on the low side 🙂
Any type of milk can be used in this cocktail as a base, from almond milk to coconut milk, but oat milk goes particularly well, it has a slightly thicker consistency and doesn’t overpower the chocolate flavour. Hazelnut milk is also an excellent choice!
Break up the dark chocolate into small pieces or finely grate and set to one side.
Add all other ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
Pour the drink into your cocktail glass, straining through a sieve to leave the ice behind.
Sprinkle the dark chocolate over your drink and it’s ready to drink!
